With What We Do in the Shadows and People, Places, Thing already treating Jemaine Clement very well this year — not to mention Don Verdean and a Judd Apatow-produced mini-series coming soon to bring him (hopefully) some more good fortunes — the actor/writer/director plans to use his recent good fortunes to his advantage, going from the top.

In an interview with stuff.co.nz, the actor revealed a sequel to his soon-to-be cult favorite vampire mockumentary is in the planning stages. Though it's known to center upon Rhys Darby's scene-stealing control freak werewolf, Anton, no other details are known. With insights being so brief, it's hard to determine where he and his co-star/co-writer/co-director Taika Waititi are in the process. This has to come after their aforementioned HBO series together, however, described to become a series of "one-off episodes, stand-alone comedy, short films." Both are in the works, and these appear to be just the beginning regarding what projects he's got in the works at the moment.

In addition to promising this new movie, Clement also revealed he and his band-mate Bret McKenzie are also in the preliminary stages for a Flight of the Conchords spin-off film, based on the band's musical HBO series. Speaking with Indiewire, he lets the details slip on the new movie he and McKenzie started writing. He's quick to throw out his insecurities regarding whether or not it'll actually get made, but they've "written some notes on some different film ideas." They're not "down to the stage" where they're going, "'This film is going to be this,'" however, and it appears a variety of plot treads have spun in their heads.

Regardless if they make the film, Flight on the Conchords are set to reunite for a tour soon, which is set to commence sometime later this year. Details, again, are limited on that front too. There's a pattern here.

No matter where all these points stand, this much is certain: in addition to People, Places, Thing certainly screening in limited release and on VOD, Clement is soon set to lend his voice to Steven Spielberg's The BFG next summer, and he also recently provided his voice to Adult Swim's Rick and Morty. He also has his aforementioned Don Verdean coming soon as well, and soon films a role in HBO's Divorce. The man's future isn't certain at the moment, but it's definitely going to be busy.
