Want to see Star Wars: The Force Awakens before most of your friends will on Dec. 18? Then move to the U.K. Want to see it even earlier? You would have to move to France.
While the film, which is the first live-action Star Wars movie in a decade, hits theaters in the U.S. on Dec. 18, moviegoers in the U.K. will get a chance to see it the day before on Dec. 17. That news was revealed on the Star Wars U.K. Facebook page.
However, if you live in France, you will get to see the film before even U.K. audiences. According to the Guardian>, the film will be out on Dec. 16. That’s because Wednesday is the typical launch day for new film releases there.
Of course, it’s likely that Disney and Lucasfilm will have late night screenings on Dec. 17 in the U.S. anyway. Most blockbusters don’t just have midnight screenings any longer, with some films getting showings at 7 p.m. Thursdays.
The Force Awakens was directed by J.J. Abrams and stars Oscar Isaac, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega and Adam Driver. Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill are also returning to play their Original Trilogy characters.
