Dex Osama, a rapper who was co-signed by Meek Mill and DeJ Loaf, was killed Monday morning in a shooting at a Detroit strip club.
WDIV reported that the shooting took place at the Crazy Horse gentlemen's club.
The club’s owner told the station that Osama was involved in an altercation and shots were fired outside the club sometime around 2 a.m.
The rapper made his way to the gas station for help after being shot twice in the torso.
"So I'm sitting there applying pressure...and he's talking to me," said Jay Sareini, who tried to save the victim. "He's alive, he's talking to me.'Please don't let me die, please don't let me,' grabbing on to me."
However, it was too late and the 26-year-old died a short time later.
According to the Detroit Free Press, another person was injured in the shooting and is expected to survive.
Osama was an up-and-coming rapper and after being signed by Meek Mill and Dej Loaf, he joined Loaf onstage during the Summer Jamz 18 concert.
Upon hearing about his death, Nicki Minaj’s man posted a picture with him and expressed his condolences on Instagram.
