Donald Sutherland just finished up The Hunger Games franchise and is now moving onto a smaller budget film with Blake Cooper.

Sutherland along with The Maze Runner’s Blake Cooper are set to star in the independent film Measure of a Man, DeadlineHolllwood reports. Jim Loach will be at the helm of the film along with David Scearce writing the script. Measure of a Man is an adaptation of Robert Lipsyte’s novel One Fat Summer and, just got underway this week in Rhode Island.
According to Variety the film is a coming of age film that takes place in the 1970s. Cooper plays an unconfident teenager looking to find himself over the course of a summer.
Sutherland plays Dr. Khan, a Wall Street executive who gives Cooper a job and teaches him the meaning of hard work and how to be a man. Cooper is full of surprises as he teaches Dr. Khan a little bit about himself and defeat some past demons in the process.
