During an event in Rochester, New Hampshire, Donald Trump opened things up to his audience to disastrous results. The very first person he picked to talk claimed that Muslims are a “problem in this country” and that President Barack Obama is a Muslim. Trump never corrected the man.

“We have a problem in this country. It's called Muslims. You know our current president is one. You know he's not even an American,” the man, who was wearing a Trump shirt, said, reports CNN.

Trump didn’t stop the man at all, instead propping him up. “We need this question. This is the first question,” he said.

“Anyway, we have training camps growing where they want to kill us. That's my question: When can we get rid of them?”

But Trump again didn’t say anything to correct the man. Instead, he seemed to give legitimacy to the man’s question, giving him an answer that didn’t really answer anything.

“We're going to be looking at a lot of different things. And you know, a lot of people are saying that, and a lot of people are saying that bad things are happening out there,” Trump said, notes CBS News. “We're going to be looking at that and plenty of other things.”

The scene reminiscent of the moment during the 2008 Presidential election when Sen. John McCain corrected a woman who insisted that Obama was an “Arab.” McCain even said that Obama wasn’t someone that voters had to fear if he became President.

Trump was a major force during 2011 at the height of the “birther” movement, pushing for Obama to release his birth certificate. Obama was born in Hawaii and is a Christian.
