Harry Potter fans rejoice- a Potter themed bar is now open in Toronto. According to Notable Magazine, The Lockhart’s design and menu were inspired by the famous series.
The bar offers drinks with names like “Befuddlement Brew,” “The Shacklebolt,” “Dr. Manhattan” and “Ludo’s Debt.”In addtion, the owners promise a free drink to anyone who can uncover a drink’s hidden Potter reference. The Lockhart will host Harry Potter trivia nights and offer a brunch menu.
According to Now Magazine, the bar, designed to look like an apothecary, boasts an outside patio space and a multi-page cocktail menu, all which make it a cool place to hang out even if you’re not so into the magical theme. A neon sign with the words, “All was well” plays tribute to the last words in the final book of J.K. Rowling’s famous series.
Paris Xerx co-owner of the new bar told Now Magazine, “Without knowing any of the Harry Potter stuff, you already will think of this as a cool bar. You'd come here and see the stag's head on the wall and go 'Wow, I love that', but a Harry Potter fan might say 'That's a Patronus'."
Located at 1479 Dundas West, The Lockhart is the place to be for a little magic in the muggle world.
