Kanye West recently came out with a decision to run for president in the 2020 election, what might make for an interesting race of politicos and musicians alike. Ice Cube, former member of rap group N.W.A. and director of Straight Outta Comptonspoke with the Daily Mail today about his involvement with West’s future campaign.

“Im voting for Kanye,” said Cube. “Who is better than Kanye that would run?”

The original gangsta says he has no problems with Kim Kardashian’s possible future as First Lady. And despite criticisms of Kanye’s lack of qualifications to run, he actually fits the bill of all Constitutional requisites to join the race.

“If that’s what it is, that’s what it is. No matter who is the president, you got to all get up and go to work in the morning.”

West announced his interest in the 2020 presidential race during his Video Vanguard Award acceptance speech at the 2015 Video Music Awards, bringing most of the audience on board, including 2016 Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.

Cube says that politics “isn’t his thing,” laughing at the concept of serving under West as Vice President.

“You know, I’m into helping my people get over the hump. I don’t have time to help everybody,” said Cube. “We got a lot of work to do.”
