A 7-year-old boy from Lowell, Massachusetts found thousands of dollars at a park and put his Sunday school lessons to good use. He decided to return the money.
Salem Police Sgt. Kathleen Makros confirmed to the The Associated Press that Aiden and his uncle, Daniel Wright, did return the money at 11 a.m. Sunday.
The police quickly found out that the money belonged to Elias Sandos, a contractor who was just paid.
“I am so grateful because we don’t have people like this no more,” Santos told CBS Boston.
Santos decided to give Aiden a $100 reward. Aiden plans on using the money to buy coins.
“We go to Sunday school and he’s been taught to do the right thing. This shows the lessons had been learned and we are so proud,” Aiden’s mother Ellen told CBS Boston.
