This feels like a story we’ve written before and, in fact we have. But Natalie Portman’s troubled film Jane Got A Gun has another release date after it escaped the clutches of Relativity Media’s bankruptcy. The Weinstein Company has agreed to release it in February 2016.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, TWC hasn’t set an exact date in February. The film is still being released in Europe this November.

In July, Relativity Media officially filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, but attorney David Boies, who was one of the financiers on the film, managed to get it out of the studio’s hands. TWC was already a co-producer on the project. Boies’ move saved the film from even more trouble, as other Relativity projects are still searching for new distributors.

This is the best piece of good news to hit Jane since Warrior director Gavin O’Connor agreed to direct it. The film went through a carousel of leading men for Portman before finally landing with her former Star Wars co-star Ewan McGregor. The producers also sued Lynne Ramsay, who walked off the set on the first day of shooting.

Even after production was complete, the film went through various release dates.
