Room, the latest indie film to feature an acclaimed performance from Brie Larson, has a new trailer just as it starts hitting the fall film festival circuit.

The film, which received a teaser in July, is based on the novel by Emma Donoghue. Directed by Lenny Abrahamson, the film stars Larson as a mother who is trapped in a single room with her son (Jacob Tremblay). They eventually make it out and have to adjust to the real world, which her son has never seen.

Larson’s parents are played by Joan Allen and William H. Macy. A24 will release the film on Oct. 16 and it was screened at the Telluride Film Festival. It’s also being shown at the Toronto International Film Festival.

Room has earned fantastic reviews so far, with many singling out Larson’s performance. Larson also got great notices for Short Term 12 (2013) and has also starred in The Spectacular Now, The Gambler and Trainwreck.
