New footage from Knight of Cups, the new film from director Terrence Malick that stars Christian Bale, has hit the web thanks to a featurette released in Germany.
The three-minute video features clips from the film that we haven’t seen yet, along with interviews with stars Wes Bentley, Isabel Lucas, Natalie Portman and Brian Dennehy.
Knight of Cups stars Bale as Rick, a screenwriter whose brother has died and meets his other brother (Bentley), who is also struggling in life. Rick decides to drown himself in the Los Angeles party scene and also has an affair with a married woman (Portman).
The cast also includes Antonio Banderas and Cate Blanchett. The film’s cinematography is by Emmanuel Lubezki, who also shot To The Wonder and The Tree of Life for Malick.
Although Knight of Cups was screened at last year’s Venice film Festival, it will not be released until March 4. Which likely means that it won’t have a wide theatrical release. Of course, you could go to Germany to see it next week, as the release date at the end of the featurette is Sept. 10.
The featurette was first posted on Yahoo in Germany.
