Some officials in Australia aren’t exactly the biggest Chris Brown fans, in fact they want to deny the embattled R&B singer access into the country.

The Associated Press reported that Michaelia Cash, who is currently the minister for woman said she would recommend that Immigration Minister Peter Dutton not allow Brown to enter the country.

Cash’s issue with him stems from his 2009 assault on his then-girlfriend Rihanna and she has the support of Australia’s Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull on the matter.

"People need to understand if you are going to commit domestic violence and then you want to travel around the world, there are going to be countries that say to you: 'You cannot come in because you are not of the character we expect in Australia,'" Cash told the local media.

The 25-year-old Brown is planning to perform shows in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth later this year if he can get a visa. TMZ noted that he has previously been denied visas in Britain, Canada and New Zealand.
