Police in Phoenix said that they have questioned a man in connection with the random shootings that have plagued the Interstate 10 highway in the city’s downtown section.
The Associated Press noted that authorities took a man and woman at a local convenience store into custody on Friday. At this time, however, Arizona Department of Public Safety officials said that only the man is being questioned in connection with the shootings.
Police also seized and are searching the couple’s white Chevrolet Tahoe, but have not released any further information about either one of them.
An employee at the store where police stormed in for the pair said that male customer has been in there many times before and is around 30 years old.
There have been 11 vehicle shootings in the Phoenix metropolitan area in as many days and law enforcement officials have been searching for a suspect and offered a reward for information from the public.
As we previously reported, no one was killed in the shootings, but a 13-year-old girl was cut by broken glass when a bullet hit the windshield of a car she was in.
