Yesterday, P!nk premiered her new song “Today’s the Day” on The Ellen Degeneres Show. The song will also be used as the show’s new theme song.
So far this year, P!nk has managed to stay under the radar. The last time she released music was last October when she worked on a folk-pop album with City and Colour singer Dallas Green. The duo released their album, Rose Ave., under the band name You+Me.
P!nk’s last solo studio album, The Truth About Love, was released three years ago this week.
As she works on her next album, the singer stepped back into the spotlight to tease fans with a glimpse of what she’s been working on. “Today’s the Day” is an uplifting anthem with lyrics like, “Today’s the day I’ve been waiting for / Tomorrow won’t come after all / Yesterday’s so far away / This today’s the only day!”
Following the performance, the song was immediately released on iTunes and shared on P!nk's website. It is currently sitting at number 25 on the Top Songs in the U.S.
