There is a major cucumber recall for at least 27 U.S. states after one person was killed and hundreds more were sickened by a Salmonella outbreak.

The Associated Press reported that Andrew & Williamson Fresh Produce of San Diego voluntarily recalled its "Limited Edition" of the vegetables last week. The cucumbers recalled were sold between Aug. 1 and Sept. 3.

Eater noted that they weren’t just sold at local produce stores such as Walmart and Whole Foods but were also distributed at several popular restaurants including Red Lobster, In-N-Out, and Olive Garden.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said some of the states in which the Salmonella Poona outbreak cases were reported were in Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Minnesota, Mississippi, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Carolina, Texas and Utah.

The outbreak is blamed for the death of a 99-year-old woman, although many of those who fell ill were under the age of 18.

Anyone who purchased the cucumbers should not consume them, but return them to the store for a refund.
