The Savannah Film Festival, hosted by the Savannah College of Art and Design, has unveiled the first major films that will be screened at the event. The 18th annual edition of the festival will feature several awards contenders, including Suffragette, Brooklyn and Truth.

Suffragette has been picked for the opening night movie and will play on Saturday, Oct. 24. The Focus Features film was directed by Sarah Gavron and produced by Alison Owen, who are expected to attend the screening. The film stars Carey Mulligan, Helena Bonham Carter and Meryl Streep. It centers on the Women’s Suffragette movement in Britain to get women the right to vote.

The other confirmed films for the festival are:

- Marc Abraham’s I Saw The Light with Tom Hiddleston

- Nanni Moretti’s Mia Madre
- Catherine Hardwicke’s Miss You Already with Drew Barrymore
- Lenny Abrahamson’s Room with Brie Larson
- Laszlo Nemes’ Son of Saul
- Paul Dalio’s Touched With Fire
- James Vanderbilt’s Truth with Cate Blanchett and Robert Redford
- Paolo Sorrentino’s Youth with Michael Caine
