A hologram of the late Whitney Houston will be hitting the road, complete with the approval of her family.

The hologram will come courtesy of Alki David’s Hologram USA and has been given the green light from Pat Houston, Houston's sister and the President of the Whitney Houston Estate. It’s not clear where the hologram will “play,” but David promises that it will be at a “major U.S. venue” and then will tour the world.

David’s FilmOn Studios will also use the hologram for original content posted on his FilmOn.com and he plans on syndicating it to other online outlets.

"I was heartbroken when Whitney passed away in 2012," David said in a statement. “The opportunity to help share her spectacular gifts with the world again is exactly what I hoped for when I built the hologram business. We've got technology that's causing a seismic shift in the entertainment industry, and a wonderful partnership with Pat Houston and the estate -- I'm confident we'll create the ultimate celebration of Whitney's amazing artistry.”

Pat Houston called this a “great opportunity” for her sister’s fans and to continue her legacy. The show will feature Houston’s greatest hits.

This is the second deceased performer to get ‘revived’ by Hologram USA this week. Back on Thursday, the Apollo Theater and Hologram USA signed a two-year deal to make the venue the only home to its technology in New York. The first show there will feature Billie Holiday, who died in 1959.

Houston died in 2012 at age 48.
