Authorities have said that one person was killed and three others were wounded after a dispute that escalated into gunfire over a dice game at Tennessee State University Thursday evening.

The Associated Press noted that shots were fired in courtyard near Floyd-Payne Campus Center around 10:50 local time. One 19-year-old male was killed and three females, who were in the area at the time, were wounded. The deceased man was not a student at the school. The three women are, but their names have not yet been released. They were each hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.

When the altercation began some students had their phones out and were videotaping the fight before the shots rang out.

The Tennessean reported that the gunman fled on foot and remains at large. Police urged those who know anything to come forward.

"The person who fired those shots put innocent persons in extreme danger in this isolated incident," said police spokesman Don Aaron. "We're hoping that TSU students that have this video, have this knowledge, understand that this person put them in danger tonight and will report what they know."
