Blake Shelton’s life has been the target of tabloids in recent years and that’s only heated up after splitting from his wife, fellow country superstar Miranda Lambert. But he claims that the latest tabloid headline isn’t true and he’s after millions in damages.

The Sept. 28 cover for In Touch Weekly claims that the Voice coach is going to rehab and that he “finally hits rock bottom.” The cover claims that the situation is dire and that his friends have desperately tried to stop him from drinking. In Touch also claims to know what went on between Lambert and Shelton that ended their marriage.

According to TMZ, Shelton claims that all of this is not true and has sued In Touch’s parent company, Bauer Media for at least $2 million. His lawsuit lists several claims in the story and calls each of them false.

Billboard reports that the lawsuit was filed Monday in Los Angeles Superior Court. Shelton is also seeking a retraction of the story.

“Blake Shelton has had enough,” the lawsuit reads. “Mr. Shelton is not in rehab and has no plans to go to rehab.”

Shelton and Lambert announced plans to divorce in July. The two married in 2011. Shelton is currently a coach on NBC’s The Voice.

Bauer Media hasn’t commented on the lawsuit.
