Boba Fett is one of the most polarized and beloved characters in the Star Wars franchise. Fans have been begging for more Boba Fett. The stand alone film has been announced, but now speculation is running wild as to who will play the deadly bounty hunter.

According to Cinema Blend, Michael B. Jordan could be playing Boba Fett. Jordan put his name on the map with his powerful performance in Fruitvale Station and recently played Johnny Storm in Fantastic Four.

Fantastic Four was a critical flop and in the box office but Jordon still has star power. The fault was in the writing and directing, not the acting.

Michael B. Jordon is an African American and in the prequels they showed Boba Fett as a young white child. That raises questions in the Star Wars universe, especially if Boba Fett will be seen without his helmet in his spin-off movie.

Walt Disney Studios is making every effort to hire a non-white male director to helm the project to satisfy their new diversity mandate, Comic Book.com reported.

Disney’s true intentions may never be known and Jordan playing Boba Fett is nothing more than a rumor at this point, but it does raise a lot of questions and what if’s.
