CBS, The Recording Academy and AEG Ehrlich Ventures announced today that they will host a special celebration of Frank Sinatra’s career as the Chairman of the Board would be turning 100 this year. The line-up also includes Tony Bennett, Alicia Keys, John Levent, Maroon 5’s Adam Levine and Carrie Underwood. Each performer will sing a song made famous by Sinatra, using arrangements created just for Ol’ Blue Eyes.

“Frank Sinatra is a voice for all generations. His showmanship and artistry have remained unmatched since he began performing professionally in the 1930s to his last recording 21 years ago,” Neil Portnow, President/CEO of The Recording Academy, said in a statement. “Today, he continues to gain popularity for his classic sound and signature style. It’s only fitting that we join the global celebration in honor of his 100th birthday.”

The special was planned in cooperation with the Sinatra family and will include rare archival footage with comments by Sinatra himself.

Of course, the special, titled Sinatra 100 - An All-Star Grammy Concert, has to be taped in Las Vegas. It will take place on Wednesday, Dec. 2 at Wynn Las Vegas’ Encore Theatre and will air on CBS on Sunday, Dec. 6 at 9 p.m.

Sinatra died in 1998 at age 82. He would be celebrating his 100th birthday on Dec. 12.
