Criss Angel is putting family first.
According to Page Six, the magician is canceling a series of his Las Vegas shows to visit his son in the hospital. Angel’s one-year-old son, Johnny Crisstopher Sarantakos, was recently diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
Angel is currently performing in his own show called “Criss Angel BeLIEve” by Cirque Du Soleil at the Luxor casino-hotel.
“In light of a family emergency the news I was going to announce this weekend will be postponed. Thank you xc,” Angel posted on Facebook.
This is the first time Angel has cancelled a show in seven years. Tickets will be refunded or can be exchanged.
Angel did not share any other details about his son’s condition, but he did post a picture of him on social media.
“Thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers. Criss,” Angel added on Twitter.
Angel is not the only Las Vegas star who has cancelling performances for family emergencies. Celine Dion’s husband is currently battling throat cancer and she put her Vegas residency on hold to be there for him.
