Demi Lovato is making some changes before her new tour even begins.
According to TMZ, Lovato decided to replace Adam Lambert as her opening act with Nick Jonas. Lovato and Jonas are friends, own a record label together and are under the same management team.
A source said that Lambert’s deal to join Lovato’s tour was not complete because they were working out details like lighting and billing, but they had agreed other details like money.
Lovato was expected to announce her tour a week ago, but it was delayed. A source suggests this is the reason why.
Lovato and Lambert took to social media to deny rumors that they were feuding over the tour change.
“Aww I love you all very much,” Lambert tweetd. “No beef tween @ddlovato & @nickjonas and me. Biz negotiations are complex - why do we care about the #rumors?”
Lovato retweeted Lambert’s post and wrote a message of her own.
“Just goes to show how accurate @TMZ really is… I love you @adamlambert,” she wrote with a bunch of kissy faces.
Lovato recently released her new album, Confident.
