Six years after a stalker illegally obtained footage of sports journalist Erin Andrews in the nude in a hotel room, the Fox Sports correspondent is suing the hotel the footage was recorded at for $75 million.

The footage was taken by Michael David Barrett at the Nashville Marriott in September 2008 through a peephole. The footage surfaced on the web in July 2009 and Barrett pleaded guilty to felony stalking later that year. He was sentenced to 30 months in prison.

In December 2011, Andrews filed a lawsuit against Marriott International and also named Barrett as a defendant. According to the Smoking Gun, she claimed that the staff at the Marriott had actually conspired with Barrett, allowing him to get the room next to hers and telling him that she was staying at the hotel.

The case is finally going to trial in February. However, the defense filed a motion to the judge, asking that Andrews define exactly how much money in damages she is seeking. On Tuesday, Andrews filed the amended claim and revealed that she is seeking $75 million in damages.

Andrews was working at ESPN when the peephole footage was shot. Although she is now at Fox, she still hosts ABC’s Dancing with the Stars with Tom Bergeron.
