It's been a bit unclear which members of the Dawn of the Planet of the Apes cast would return for the sequel, but now at least one of the original actors is back on board.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Judy Greer will return in War for the Planet of the Apes. Greer first joined the series in the most recent installment, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, in which she played Caesar's wife Cornelia.
You probably know Greer from just about every single movie that you saw this past summer, as she has recently had supporting roles in Tomorrowland, Jurassic World and Ant-Man. She's also known for her voice acting work on Archer, where she plays Cheryl.
Also rejoining the Planet of the Apes cast will be Karin Konoval as Maurice, the lovable orangutan from the last two films. Andy Serkis is of course back on board as Caesar as well.
In terms of the human cast, the upcoming sequel will star series newcomer Woody Harrelson as a villain known as Colonel. The plot is completely unknown at this time, although director Matt Reeves recently posted the first set photo from a beach, obviously calling to mind the ending of the original classic with the Statue of Liberty in the sand.
War for the Planet of the Apes will hit theaters on July 14, 2017.
