My Best Friend’s Wedding, Julia Roberts’ 1997 romantic comedy with Dermot Mulroney, also starring Rupert Everett and a young Cameron Diaz, stole all of our hearts and continues to be a cult classic today. That’s why the film could be getting picked up for a TV series.
Ron Bass, who wrote the original screenplay, is in the works of turning the script into a half-hour comedy for ABC. He will write the script with Jessica Amento.
