Kate Winslet is the new face of L'Oréal and said that she will not allow any of her ad photos for the brand to be airbrushed or retouched.
The 40-year-old told E! News that none of her Lancôme's ads will be touched up in any way because she feels that we have responsibility to future generations when it comes to body image standards.
"I think they do look to magazines, I think they do look to women who have been successful in their chosen careers and they want people to look up to and I would always want to be telling the truth about who I am to that generation because they've got to have strong leaders,” Winslet said. “We're all responsible for raising strong young women, so these are things that are important to me."
The stance against retouching photos may be rare in Hollywood but is nothing new for the Oscar-winning actress. Winslet has always been against retouching. She previously admitted that she was a victim of bullying when she was younger because of her weight and has taught her own daughter to love and embrace her figure.
