Keira Knightley made her Broadway debut on Thursday night in Therese Raquin, when a crazed fan almost ruined the show.

Knightley and her co-star, Gabriel Ebert, stayed in character as an unruly audience member got up just minutes into the show and started screaming Knightley’s name from the railing in front of mezzanine left.

Before getting escorted out and arrested, the superfan threw a bouquet of flowers at Knightley, Deadline reports. Ebert managed to kick the flowers off the stage, which was met with a round of applause from the audience.

Jennifer Tepper, who works nearby, tweeted about the incident and linked to an article on it, writing, “I saw this person taken by the police from Studio 54 in handcuffs tonight. Never a dull moment on 54th Street!”

Jessica Johnson, a spokeswoman for the show told Daily News they will be adding “extra security” after the incident starting on Friday’s show.

Previews of Theresa Raquin, which is based on an Emile Zola novel, will run through its opening night on Oct. 29.
