Kenny Chesney has announced dates for the first wave of his upcoming summer tour. The dates kick off on April 23 at Jordan-Hare Stadium in Auburn, Alabama.
Rolling Stone reported that the tour will be called the 'Spread the Love' tour and will feature 10 additional stadiums stops including Phoenix, Heinz Field in Pittsburgh and Kansas City.
Chesney is bringing along some major country star power for his opening act. Miranda Lambert will be joining Chesney on the 'Spread the Love' tour. This isn't the first time that the two have been on the road together, they toured back in 2009 and she joined him for a show at Chicago's Solider Field back in June of this year.
Sam Hunt and Old Dominion will also be opening. However, those two will not be featured at the shows in Detroit, Philadelphia, Milwaukee and Arlington, Texas because a special guest will be taking their place.
“Miranda was such an awesome addition in Chicago,” explained Chesney. “When I was thinking about what I wanted to do this year, how to keep the energy we had and give the fans something truly great musically, she just made sense. She’s a songwriter, a great singer and she loves music every bit as much as I do. In a stadium, those things matter.”
More tour dates are expected to be announced soon.
