Olivia Wilde is not a fan of Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump or his stance on immigration and has responded to some of his supporters on the subject via social media.
According to the New York Post, while at the premiere of Robert DeNiro's short film Ellis, the 31-year-old who has dual citizenship with Ireland, spoke about the refugee crisis.
“[America] was a beacon of hope for so many … yet some in this country have developed this xenophobia that totally conflicts with what we’re based on.”
She then added that she thought it was “sickening” to “have someone running for who openly projects that xenophobia.”
E! Online noted that she was later called out on Twitter by some of the billionaire’s supporters and decided to respond to them on Tuesday.
"Ok Trump-lovers, I will do as you suggest and go back to where I came from... which happens to be NYC so I'm just gonna chill," she wrote.
Recent polls show that the 69-year-old candidate's numbers have dipped a bit and he is now trailing Republican opponent and former neurosurgeon Ben Carson.
