There’s a Friday the 13th next month and another one in May 2016, but neither of those dates are going to feature a new Friday the 13th movie. Paramount has delayed a planned reboot, meaning that the hockey mask is staying at home for another year.

Paramount said Tuesday that Friday The 13th will now be released on Jan. 13, 2017, notes TheWrap. It was previously scheduled for the one Friday the 13th in 2016, May 13.

The film has been in the works for years and still hasn’t been shot. It was once scheduled for Nov. 13, 2015. David Bruckner (Southbound) is still attached to direct and casting has not been announced.

Paramount has also announced a date for Rings, the third film in The Ring series. That film, directed by F. Javier Gutierrez, was supposed to be out next month. Now, it won’t come out until April 1, 2016. That’s a heck of a way to celebrate April Fool’s Day, Paramount.

The Friday The 13th franchise features the killer Jason, who wears a hockey mask. Plans for a television series were announced last year, but the project hasn’t gotten very far. There was a 2009 reboot, but it doesn’t appear that the new film will follow that movie.
