Pop superstar and producer Pharrell Williams will perform Sunday at Emanuel African Methodistist Episcopal Church in Charleston, South Carolina, where nine people lost their lives.

Williams will be performing alongside the Emanuel AME's Gospel choir as part of a worship service that will serve as a prologue to an upcoming special. He will later be a part of a special presentation called "Shining a Light: A Concert for Progress on Race in America," which is set to air Nov. 20th on A&E and iHeartMedia networks.

ABC also reported Williams will also be meeting with community leaders and those affected by the June 17th massacre. The special aims to raise money for organizations promoting racial equity, individuals affected by racial violence and to promote unity and reconciliation.

The concert will take place in Los Angeles at the Shrine Auditorium on Nov. 18th and will include other artists such as Ed Sheeran.

Williams, who is perhaps best known for his hit single "Happy" and appearing as a judge on the hit TV show The Voice, was touched by the tragedy and Mother Emanuel's response according News 2.
