The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kim Richards was sentenced earlier this week in her shoplifting case.
The Associated Press noted that the sentence given to her includes three years probation, attending 52 Alcoholics Anonymous meetings and to perform 300 hours of community service.
Her attorney left the courtroom without commenting on the sentencing.
As we previously reported, Richards was arrested in August for shoplifting from a Los Angeles Target store. She was released on $5,000 bail and later pleaded no contest.
“I couldn’t imagine Kim stealing or shoplifting anything. She is a giver,” the 51-year-old’s ex-husband said at the time of her arrest. “I am in complete shock. Guaranteed this must be some kind of mistake, and the facts will come out soon. She was arrested for shoplifting toys in a cart, but this was a clear misunderstanding. This was not alcohol or drug related.”
Issues and questions about Richards’ substance abuse have played out on her Bravo TV show and she checked into and completed a rehab stint last April.
