Prince William and Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge attended another event with Chinese President Xi Jinping and his wife, Peng Liyuan, in London today. The event featured new music by Emmy nominated composer Laura Karpman and Chinese singer Sa Dingding.

Karpman and Sa Dingding worked together on Joy, a new composition that mixes Western choral music with Chinese instruments. Yunnan dancers also performed. Joy is part of a larger piece that will be produced by Gina Fegan and D-Media Productions.

The performance came during a British creative collaborative summit at Lancaster House during Xi’s State visit to the U.K. On Tuesday, Catherine and Prince William hosted a state dinner with Queen Elizabeth. It was Catherine’s first state dinner since she married Prince William.

Karpman is also working on WGN’s Underground with Grammy winner Raphael Saadiq and John Legend. She is the co-founder of The Alliance For Women Film Composers. Her credits include Craft In America, Black Nativity, Makers: Women Who Make America and Masters of Science Fiction.
