Steven Tyler does not want Donald Trump to use his music in any way during his presidential campaign.
Tyler is asking Trump to stop using Aerosmith’s song “Dream On” at events for his Republican presidential campaign, according to USA Today.
The lead singer of Aerosmith hired attorneys and they have sent Trump’s campaign team a second cease-and-desist letter.
The letter states that Trump does “not have our client's permission to use 'Dream On' or any of Tyler's other songs and that it "gives the false impression that he is connected with or endorses Mr. Trump's presidential bid."
One of Tyler’s attorneys, Dina LaPolt revealed it is not a “political” or “personal” issue that Tyler has with Mr. Trump, but rather a copyright and permission issue. Tyler is a registered Republican who went to the first GOP debate.
While Trump has said in the past that he would spend up to a billion dollars on his campaign, we recently learned that he has been conservative with his money regarding the campaign. So far, Trump has spent around $2 million.
