There still might be a few weeks left of 2015, but it’s not too early to start planning a trip to Austin, Texas for 2016 SXSW Film Conference and Festival. The first speakers have been announced already.
Actor Jake Gyllenhaal and The Tree of Life producer Sarah Green will attend the first two Featured Conversations. Scandal star Kerry Washington will be on hand for a panel called “Kerry Washington & The New Rules of Social Stardom.”
Mr. Robot stars Sam Esmail, Rami Malek and Christian Slater will be back, a year after promoting the show’s first season. They will take part in a panel called “Coding on Camera: Mr. Robot & Authenticity on TV.”
Internet star Zach Anner will host “The Art of Starting From Nothing,” a panel featuring other independent artists talking about how they made their mark and connect with their audience.
Speakers at last year’s SXSW included Mark Duplass, Ava DuVernay, RZA, Amy Schumer and Ryan Gosling.
SXSW 2016 runs from March 11-19.
