Although her husband, Joe Giudice, referred to Danbury’s Federal Correctional Institution as a “low budget spa,” the reality star told her husband during a phone call, which will air in an upcoming episode, that she got “shaken down” in her cell, People reports.
She explained that when she had her daughter, Gia, 14, send out a tweet from her account, prison officials assumed she had a cell phone and ransacked her cell.
The tweet read, “Thank you everyone for all of the cards, letters, and kind words of support I love, love, love you all xo T!”
Giudice’s attorney, James J. Leonard Jr., also said during the episode, "This is not a country club, this is not a day in the park for her, you know, she's in prison."
