Country music legend Willie Nelson has been forced to postpone a few shows scheduled for this week. However, his son promised fans that the 82-year-old’s health issues are “minor.”
Nelson’s team announced on Facebook that a show he had scheduled for Florence, South Carolina on Thursday has been rescheduled for April 6, 2016 and today’s show in Roanoke, Virginia was rescheduled for Monday. However, Saturday’s show in Reading, Pennsylvania was cancelled.
“Unfortunately Willie has been feeling under the weather so a couple dates have been rescheduled and one cancelled. Sorry for the inconvenience,” the statement read. “All tickets will be honored for the new dates. Refunds are available at point of purchase for fans who will not be able to attend the new date.”
According to Taste Of Country, Nelson’s son, Lukas Nelson, wrote on Facebook that his father’s issues are minor.
“...Thanks for the prayers and love for dad, his health issue is minor and he's doing great, love to all,” Lukas Nelson wrote.
The Florence show was originally supposed to be part of Nelson’s Django and Jimmie Tour with Merle Haggard. Nelson is still scheduled to perform at the American Roots & Arts Festival on Sunday in Raleigh, North Carolina.
The tour with Haggard continues through Oct. 25 in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
