Rapper Wiz Khalifa has accomplished something no other hip-hop artist ever has with his “See You Again” video as it has reached over one billion views on YouTube.
The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette noted that the chart-topping single, which pays tribute to the late Paul Walker, is just the 10th video to hit the billion mark and the first rap video to ever get that many views. It also becomes one of the fastest after its release, behind Psy’s “Gangnam Style," to reach a billion.
Charlie Puth, who sings the hook for the track, tweeted his gratitude for all the views.
The song was co-written by Wiz, Puth, DJ Frank E and Andrew Cedar and was featured as a tribute to Walker in the Furious 7 movie after he was killed in a car accident last November.
The other videos that are a part of the highly-viewed club are "Baby" by Justin Bieber, "Bailando,” by Enrique Iglesias, "All About That Bass" by Meghan Trainor, Katy Perry's "Roar" and "Dark Horse," Taylor Swift's "Blank Space" and "Shake It Off" and Bruno Mars' "Uptown Funk."
