Yolanda Foster, who was diagnosed with chronic Lyme disease in 2012, revealed that two out of her three children also suffer from the disease, while at the first Global Lyme Alliance gala on Thursday night.
Foster, 51, who has been an advocate for finding a cure for this debilitating disease, said her two youngest; Bella and Anwar Hadid, were diagnosed as well.
“Watching my babies struggle in silence in order to support me in my journey, struck the deepest core of hopelessness inside of me," she said onstage. "This is my token and my promise to you that I will not allow you to live a life of pain and suffering. I will walk to the end of the earth to find a cure so that you can live a healthy life that you deserve. No child should suffer the way that you do."

Her famous model daughter, Gigi Hadid, also spoke onstage and praised her mother for how she has handled herself after revealing her diagnosis publicly.
“She was honest, unapologetic, and raw in how she portrayed Lyme disease on social media and on the show from the second she announced to the world she had been diagnosed,” Gigi, who attended the gala wih her boyfriend Joe Jonas, said.
Foster was honest during her speech as well, when she apologized to her children for missing out on their lives for the past four years.
“I used to be a pretty cool, smart, multi-tasking, kickass mom,” she said. “But all three of you, all three of my children really got short-changed with a dumb blonde in the white robe, that mostly lives her life in bed."
Foster has previously opened up about losing her ability to read and write.
