Adele already beat one record with her latest album, 25, and now she has reached another having sold over three million copies in one week.
Billboard reported that her LP sold over 3.38 million copies in its first week.
As previously reported, Adele beat *NSYNC’s record breaking No Strings Attached, which sold 2.42 million copies back in 2000.
In just seven days, it is also the bestselling album for 2015 in the U.S. She also had the bestselling album in 2011 and 2012 with 21.
Not just in the United States, the record also sold over 800,000 copies in the U.K., beating Oasis’ album Be Here Now, Rolling Stone reported.
The next chart Adele could surpass for album sales is Billboard’s 200 album chart, which currently sees Justin Bieber at number one with Purpose.
Adele is set to tour in support of her album beginning in February of next year and ending in June. She will visit cities within Europe, but will not be touring the United States.
