Baseball great Derek Jeter is being sued for millions of dollars and getting slammed by 50 cent.
TMZ Sports reported Wednesday that Jeter is in the middle of a multi-million dollar lawsuit with the Swedish underwear company Frigo and allegedly made comments about 50 cent being too “urban” for the brand. Well now the rapper is responding.
According to the suit obtained by the website, Jeter inked a deal with the company but allegedly said he didn’t want his involvement with the brand known when it launched in U.S. Frigo then had 50 Cent promote the underwear line and that is when Jeter allegedly made the controversial comment.
On Instagram, 50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, posted a photo of the former Bronx Bomber and summed up exactly how he feels about him.
“Wow, guess I'm not a Yankees fan anymore,” he captioned a photo of Jeter. “LETS GO METS? Man you can't trust nobody these day.smh #EFFENVODKA #FRIGO #SMSAUDIO.”
As far as the suit, Frigo said that it lost around $30 million in value and is asking that Jeter pay $4.7 million of its loss.
