October 2015 might as well be known as the month Hollywood flopped. Other than The Martian, nearly every major studio release has flopped at the box office. Even movies headlined by Bradley Cooper and Sandra Bullock couldn’t stop the trend.

The Martian, released by 20th Century Fox and starring Matt Damon, returned to the No. 1 slot for the fourth time since its release on Oct. 2. It grossed just $11.4 million this weekend, bringing its domestic total to $182.8 million. The Ridley Scott-directed sci-fi epic is now up to $428.4 million worldwide.

Jack Black and Sony’s Goosebumps held on with $10.2 million. The film is up to $57.1 million domestically.

Bridge of Spies, directed by Steven Spielberg and starring Tom Hanks, has also held on well, adding $8.1 million. Its domestic total is up to $45.2 million.

Sony’s Hotel Transylvania 2 got a nice boost on Halloween weekend with $5.8 million. The animated sequel is now up to $156 million domestically and $373.6 million worldwide.

The Weinstein Company’s Burnt, starring Cooper as a chef, rounded out the Top 5 with just $5 million in its first weekend. At least it did better than Bullock’s Our Brand Is Crisis, a political comedy that only opened to $3.4 million.

Paramount’s Scout's Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse showed up dead with just $1.7 million.

Next week, Spectre hits theaters in the U.S., so the box office might get a much-needed wake up call.
