If you watched Christopher Reeve's performance as Superman and wished you could be just like him, you might soon be able to...for a price.

Reeve's original suit worn in the 1978 film Superman will be going up for auction on Nov. 19, Nate D. Sanders Auctions said in a statement. They note that it's in near fine condition, other than a few holes. Biding will start at $50,000.

Designed by Academy Award-winning costume designer Yvonne Blake, the suit is made from flexible fabric meant to absorb sweat stains. The auction house notes that Reeve refused to wear a muscle suit under his costume, and he actually trained with Dave Prowse, the actor who portrayed the on-screen version of Darth Vader in Star Wars.

Reeve was cast as Superman when he was just 25. Prior to that, his only acting experience included very small television roles on shows like Love of Life and The Wide World of Mercy. Reeve went on to star in three sequels to Superman, in which he also wore this iconic suit.
