Cobra Starship, the band known for hits like "You Make Me Feel" and "Good Girls Go Bad," is breaking up.
The band's former lead singer, Gabe Saporta, broke the news via a lengthy and nostalgic post on the band's website.
"After many incredible years, I’m making the difficult decision to close the book on Cobra Starship. If you stop reading this now, I want to say thank you if you’ve ever supported Cobras in any way," Saporta wrote. "Whether you came to our shows and bought merch, or simply listened to a track and shared it with a friend, you allowed us to live out the most incredible adventure, and I am eternally grateful for that."
He reminisced on the band's greatest moments and made it a point to thank the fans and anyone who ever contributed to their success.
He also posted a collage of the band on Instagram to express his love and appreciation for the fans.
At the end of the post Saporta announced he is starting a new company called the The Artist Group. He will lead the company with his friend Mike Carden to "share his wisdom and experiences with the next generation of artists."
The company's website will launch in 2016.
