Coldplay has announced their final album A Head Full of Dreams, will be available on Dec. 4 and it’s out right now for pre-order. The band, lead by Chris Martin, also released the album’s first single on Friday, "Adventure of a Lifetime.”

"Coldplay have never enjoyed making a record more than this one,” the band said in a statement. “Nor have they been happier with the results.”

Rolling Stone reports collaborators on their newest album, their seventh studio effort, include Beyoncé, Noel Gallagher, Tove Lo and Merry Clayton.

Upon its Friday release, Martin told BBC A Head Full of Dreams emulates "the sound of us being free and happy and very grateful to be in our group.”

AHFOD follows up last year’s Ghost Stories, and the band confirmed they will tour in support of it "early next year.”

In Dec. 2014, Martin told BBC’s Zane Lowe their latest effort is the “completion of something.”

"It's our seventh thing and the way we look at it, it's like the last Harry Potter book,” he said. “I have to think of it as the final thing we're doing. Otherwise we wouldn't put everything into it."
