Following the backlash Starbucks has received for eliminating any holiday-themed design on their red holiday cups, Dunkin' Donuts is releasing their own festive cups.

Starbucks rolled out their cups on Nov. 1, but the backlash didn’t catch on until about this week.

The Dunkin' Donuts cups are very festive in design, with a green pine wreath surrounding big red letters that read “Joy.”

When the company was asked if the release of their cups were in response to the outrage over Starbucks’ plain red holiday cups, they denied it in a statement, saying it’s been a tradition for years.

"For many years Dunkin' Donuts has served coffee in festive cups featuring the word 'joy' as part of our annual celebration of the season and holiday offerings," VP for Dunkin' Brands, Scott Hudler, said in the statement, Fox reports. "We believe this conveys the happiness and spirit of the holiday season in a way that resonates with our guests."
