Health officials have said that a farm in California recalled a vegetable mix sold at Costco, which could be linked to a recent E.Coli outbreak.
The Associated Press noted that the Food and Drug Administration announced Thursday that Taylor Farms Pacific Inc. recalled a chopped celery and onion mix used in rotisserie chicken salad sold at the Costco.
The recall was "out of an abundance of caution," the FDA said in a statement.
At least 19 people, from seven different states, are believed to have been sickened by the vegetable ingredients in the chicken salad and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention believes that number will rise.
The salad has been taken off the shelves and anyone who purchased the product at Costco before Nov. 20 is asked not to eat it. CNN reported that any packaging with the item number 37719 should immediately be discarded.
Some of the symptoms of E.coli include nausea, abdominal pain, cramps, fatigue and fever. If you believe you may have eaten the salad and experience any of these contact your doctor right away.
