Members of Eagles of Death Metal, the American band that was performing at the Bataclan theater in Paris when gunmen stormed in Friday night, are now safe.

The Bataclan was the location for the worst of the string of coordinated terror attacks that killed 128 people in the French capital. At least 112 people were reportedly killed in the theater alone. It’s still not clear how many people were still in the theater, which has room for 1,500 people.

The group, which is based in California, issued a statement last night, first saying that not every member of their band and crew were accounted for. “Our thoughts are with all of the people involved in this tragic situation,” the statement said.

While the group hasn’t issued an update themselves, a U.S. official told The Associated Press that every member of the band is safe.

Michael Dorio, the brother of drummer Julian Dorio, has spoken with both The Atlanta Journal Constitution and CNN to confirm that his brother was safe.

Michael Dorio said that his brother told him that the band saw a man with a machine gun firing in the theater. They dropped to the floor when they saw the gunman and ran out of the theater through a backstage door.

The Eagles of Death Metal’s record label said that founding member Josh Homme, who is also a member of Queens of the Stone Age, was not with the group in Paris last night.
