Vince Vaughn is known for his comedic roles but has recently dipped into dramas and Forrest Whitaker is an actor who has the range to pull off any role. The two of them will team up with Roland Joffé in his new film.

Variety reports that both Vaughn and Whitaker have joined The Archbishop and the Antichrist. The film is about Archbishop Desmond Tutu’s meetings with Piet Blomfield, a murderer who seeks redemption for the crimes he committed while he serves a life sentence in prison in post-apartheid South Africa.

“Forest Whitaker brings a great sense of depth and power to all his performances and he is the perfect match for Tutu’s complex character,” Tannaz Anisi, President of 13 Films, said in a statement to Entertainment Weekly.

Vaughn has proven himself in dramas such as Into the Wild and stars in Mel Gibson's upcomoming Hacksaw Ridge. He also took a drama tic turn in the second season of True Detective.

Whitaker is an Oscar winner who was just in Southpaw.
